Gee announces phased return to Morgantown campus in letter to WVU community

West Virginia University students will have a phased return to the Morgantown campus that includes a later class start date (Aug. 26) and hybrid or online delivery for upper division undergraduate courses, President Gordon Gee announced in a letter to the WVU community today (July 27).

WVU students testing positive for COVID-19 confirmed

Monongalia County Health Department and West Virginia University were notified that 13 new cases were reported today (July 2) with at least 10 WVU students who have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Positive case of COVID-19 confirmed at WVU residence hall

West Virginia University was notified Sunday afternoon (April 12) by the Monongalia County Health Department that a resident in one of its residence halls tested positive for coronavirus COVID-19. WVU is working with MCHD and West Virginia’s state public health officials to ensure the health and safety of all residents and employees who have recently been working in the Evansdale Residential Complex, more commonly referred to as Towers.
