WVU issues Campus Warning after reported burglary

West Virginia University Police issued the Campus Warning following a reported burglary at College Park on Monday (Oct. 16). The incident happened at one of the College Park apartment locations that has an open airway stairwell, leading directly to individual exterior apartment doors. The victim, a University student, reported leaving the front door of the exterior apartment unlocked.

WVU releases annual Clery Act report

As the West Virginia University Police Department continues to focus on community policing, the latest Clery Act report shows declines in campus drug and alcohol arrests and citations, but increases in reports of some other crimes.

WVU issues Community Notice on increased bicycle thefts

The West Virginia University Police Department is issuing a Community Notice advising bicyclists to take extra steps to secure their bicycles following a recent increase in thefts. Over the past month, UPD has received nine reports of stolen bicycles.

WVU issues Community Notice after shots fired

West Virginia University Police issued a Community Notice after a report of shots fired on Beverly Ave. just before 4 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 27). Morgantown Police are investigating the incident. No injuries were reported and there was no immediate threat in the area.
