West Virginia University Police found no evidence of a threat following a WVU Alert that was issued Tuesday (Nov. 7) in response to a possible bomb threat reported at the Mineral Resources Building, located on the WVU Evansdale Campus.

Campus operations returned to normal around 2 p.m.

The threat was made by phone to a University employee right before 12:30 p.m., prompting a UPD search of the Mineral Resources Building.

UPD is investigating the origin of the call and will take additional actions, as warranted.

During the response, PRT service was temporarily suspended at the Engineering station as a precaution.
