WVU releases annual Clery Act report

The return to more normal campus operations at West Virginia University following COVID-19 restrictions in the previous year is reflected in the latest Clery Act report, showing increased crime reporting for 2021 in many categories.

WVU issues Campus Warning for report of shot fired

West Virginia University students and employees are encouraged to be vigilant after University Police received a report of a single shot fired into the air in the Area 1 parking lot near the top of High Street at midnight (Saturday) Sept. 24.

Service, semester preps, celebration intertwine for WVU’s Welcome Week

The return of FallFest highlights a packed Welcome Week at West Virginia University which begins Thursday, Aug. 11, and continues through the start of the fall semester Wednesday, Aug. 17. New events include a pool party for all students at the Student Rec Center Aug. 13 and a service project to benefit the West Virginia United Way Collaborative during Monday Night Lights for first-year students Aug. 15.

WVU issues Campus Warning for burglary

West Virginia University students and employees are encouraged to be vigilant as University Police received a report of a burglary in progress Sunday morning, Jan. 9 at approximately 6:30 a.m. in Vandalia Hall.

Community Notice: WVU to monitor weather conditions, plans normal operations

West Virginia University will monitor conditions as predicted inclement weather moves into the Morgantown area Thursday and Friday, Jan. 6-7. The University currently plans normal operations; however, WVU students and employees should call ahead before venturing out to ensure locations and services are open as conditions may change or services may be limited.

Four students referred to WVU Office of Student Conduct for online posts

Four students have been referred to the West Virginia University Office of Student Conduct where they could face disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion. These students were identified as sharing threatening information online and are in violation of the University’s zero-tolerance policy for any behaviors that incite anxiety or fear concerning campus safety.
