WVU plans for July 1 implementation of Campus Self-Defense Act

West Virginia University Vice Provost Paul Kreider, a seasoned administrator and innovative academic leader, has been named interim campus president of WVU Potomac State College, effective March 16. The appointment follows Keyser Campus President Chris Gilmer’s resignation. Gilmer will serve as campus president through March 15.
West Virginia University is being recognized as a certified affiliate of the Bee Campus USA program for its buzzworthy efforts to support pollinators on campus by increasing native plants and providing nest sites.
The West Virginia University Morgantown Campus will close Friday (Jan. 19) and all in-person classes are canceled due to inclement weather. Online classes are not affected and will continue. Employees who work remotely or on a hybrid schedule are not affected and should continue their normal schedule. On-site employees should communicate with their supervisors to determine if they are required to work on site during the closure.

Online classes will not be affected. Students should report to classes with a start time of 11 a.m. or later.
