WVU releases May 2018 Commencement Ceremony Information

West Virginia University’s May 2018 graduates will be honored during Commencement weekend, May 11-13.

Graduates planning to participate in commencement exercises must register with their school or college during the Spring 2018 semester. Students and parents are encouraged to check the graduation website often in the months and weeks leading up to commencement weekend where information will be added as more details are confirmed. 

Friday, May 11

Reed College of Media, 9 a.m., Coliseum

School of Medicine and School of Pharmacy PhD, 9 a.m., Okey Patteson Auditorium, Health Sciences Center

College of Law, 10 a.m., Creative Arts Center

College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, 1 p.m., Coliseum

College of Creative Arts, 2 p.m., Creative Arts Center

School of Public Health, 2 p.m., Okey Patteson Auditorium, Health Sciences Center

Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design, 5 p.m.,Coliseum

Saturday, May 12:

College of Education and Human Services, 9 a.m., Coliseum

WVU Potomac State College will hold its commencement exercises on Saturday, May 5.

WVU Institute of Technology will graduate its first Beckley campus students on Saturday, May 12.

The University reminds graduates that participation in commencement exercises does not guarantee the completion of a WVU degree. Questions regarding eligibility to participate should be directed to the student’s school or college. Diplomas will be mailed after all grades are finalized and certified by WVU’s Office of the University Registrar.
