WVU’s top seniors named, eight honored with 2020 Order of Augusta

Students who have exceeded classroom boundaries and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to solving complex global challenges and serving others—among them a distance learner with autism, a gymnast and an alternate Mountaineer Mascot—will receive West Virginia University’s highest student honor, the Order of Augusta.

WVU’s 24/7 crisis text line for students supported by donor’s gift

An anonymous donor’s gift will ensure that, although they aren’t on campus, students enrolled at West Virginia University can reach out to the Carruth Center for Psychological and Psychiatric Services through a 24/7 crisis text line to receive immediate assistance from a live, trained counselor – especially if they feel overwhelmed by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Glover to serve as 67th WVU Mountaineer

Colson Glover, an Honors College sophomore from Lewisburg, will begin his year as the 67th West Virginia University Mountaineer Friday (April 24).

WVU announces additional emergency financial assistance for students for spring, waives Online Learning Student Support fee for summer

West Virginia University is expected to receive $20.2 million from the federal stimulus package enacted to provide significant relief to higher education. Funds from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act will be received in two equal installments. The WVU Board of Governors was briefed on the package during a special meeting Friday.
