Emil Czul leaves $4 million to WVU for scholarships

Emil Czul (pronounced “Sewell”), a late West Virginia University alumnus raised in Lochgelly and a 1950 graduate of Oak Hill High School, is making certain that future generations from Fayette County will not struggle to afford college as he did.

WVU Student Life Hall of Fame to induct five new members

A former student leader with 40 years of industry experience and his philanthropist wife, along with a long-time food service employee, an administrator dedicated to international education, and a devoted financial aid administrator with 33 years of service will be honored for their outstanding contributions to West Virginia University.

WVU business school to induct four into Roll of Distinguished Alumni

The West Virginia University College of Business and Economics will induct four graduates into its renowned B&E Roll of Distinguished Alumni during WVU Homecoming Weekend. This year’s honorees, who represent various industries, will be inducted during a ceremony and luncheon Oct. 5, at 11:30 a.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown.

Football Hall of Fame set for Saturday

West Virginia University will hold its 28th annual Sports Hall of Fame induction on Saturday (Sept. 22) prior to the WVU-Kansas State football game. Induction ceremonies will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility. The public is invited to attend and the event is free of charge.

WVU alumni establish scholarship, enrichment fund to honor retired business school professor

The former students of a staple in the West Virginia University Department of Accounting are giving back to the College and University to honor his work and to look to the future of the industry. The gift is given in honor of Robert S. Maust, who retired in 2013 after more than 50 years at the College of Business and Economics and made a tremendous impact on the lives of countless accounting students.
