WVU announces final recommendations for several academic programs under review

The West Virginia University Office of the Provost announced final recommendations on Tuesday (Aug. 29) from the first four appeals hearings held as part of the Academic Transformation program portfolio review process. This is the next step following the announcement of the preliminary recommendations on Aug. 10.

WVU to strengthen land-grant mission and engagement

A shared mission to serve the people of West Virginia and expertise in areas such as agriculture, natural resources, youth development, health and safety, community development and engagement will serve as the foundation for a new unit at West Virginia University composed of the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design and WVU Extension.

WVU names 2023 class of Ruby Fellows

This year's Ruby Scholars Graduate Fellows are Christopher Anderson, Jessica Hovingh, Annalisa Huckaby, Nicole Krahulik and Travis Rawson. Each student will receive a $34,000 stipend, a $2,000 travel grant and tuition waiver to allow them to continue their doctoral-level research at West Virginia University.

WVU Board approves 2024 budget, tuition rates

The West Virginia University Board of Governors, after two days of meetings, approved on Friday (June 23) a balanced budget for the coming fiscal year aimed at streamlining and strengthening the WVU System for the future.
