WVU reminds campus community of winter weather procedures as new semester begins

West Virginia University’s spring semester starts Jan. 8, calling for a reminder about how the University responds when harsh winter weather occurs. Should conditions occur making travel potentially dangerous, both students and employees are reminded to use their own good judgment before venturing out.

WVU Board of Governors receives facilities plan update

Meeting between commencement exercises for the largest December graduating class in West Virginia University’s 150-year history, the Board of Governors received an update on its current master facilities plan Friday (Dec. 15), with a look ahead to a refreshing of the plan through 2022.

Alsop, Congelio to begin new roles Aug. 1

Rob Alsop will officially begin his new role as West Virginia University’s vice president for strategic initiatives effective Tuesday (Aug. 1). Consistent with the transition, Paula Congelio, associate vice president and chief financial officer for WVU Health Sciences, will expand her duties and serve as vice president and chief financial officer for the University also beginning Tuesday.
