WVU Wind Symphony to participate in ‘life changing’ China tour

Students in the West Virginia University Wind Symphony will participate in a unique cultural musical exchange thanks to an invitation from the United States – China Cultural & Educational Foundation to take part in a three-city performance tour of China.

WVU School of Music launches K-12 music program

A new program in the West Virginia University School of Music will allow K-12 students to learn about music through live performance, all free of charge. The series of weekday matinee performances is open to all grades and ages from public schools, private schools and homeschool groups. The performances provide an opportunity to enhance school curriculum and expose students to the arts.

Wilson to retire after 26 years as associate provost for academic personnel

After more than 40 years at West Virginia University, Associate Provost for Academic Personnel C.B. Wilson plans to retire effective Sept. 1. Wilson began his tenure at WVU as chair and professor of Music in 1977 and took on progressive leadership roles in the College of Creative Arts, first as associate dean and later as interim dean of the College.
