The two-day boot camp will provide targeted training for cardiovascular intensive care unit advanced practice providers through a combination of expert-led lectures and six intensive simulation scenarios designed to replicate real-world critical care situations.

This event coincides with Healthcare Simulation Week. The global event celebrates how simulation advances patient safety and transforms healthcare education.

WV STEPS is West Virginia’s only simulation center accredited across all five Society for Simulation in Healthcare domains, placing it among a small group of centers worldwide with full-spectrum accreditation.

As a state-of-the-art facility equipped with fully responsive technology, WV STEPS provides students from all five Health Sciences schools — Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health — with a safe, realistic environment to develop and refine their skills before working with patients in both routine and critical care scenarios.
