An expert in human rights issues says the U.S. decision to withdraw from the UN Human Rights Council will have long-lasting consequences and allow the implementation of policies that will negatively affect countless Americans and other citizens from around the world. Sunday's deadly eruption of Volcan Fuego in Guatemala highlights the dangers of volcanoes and the differences between them. Unlike the relatively peaceful, if still devastating, eruption on-going on Hawai'i, yesterday's eruption of Fuego was very violent and overwhelmed the areas surrounding the volcano, including residential areas.
