WHAT: Hal Wanger Family Medicine Conference, hosted by the West Virginia University School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine

WHERE: Morgantown Holiday Inn, Pineview Drive, Morgantown
The Hal Wanger Family Medical Conference will address 24 topics of interest to health care providers, including rheumatology arthritis, leading an end of life discussion, HIV education, migraine therapy and cardiovascular effects of diabetes drugs.
Dr. Dorian Williams will present “To Simulate… and Beyond! Toys or Educational Apogee?” where he will discuss the advances of simulated patient encounters and how this technology has innovated health care professional education. Williams is the Mesaros Distinguished Speaker honoring Drs. Paul and Laura Mesaros.
The conference is named in honor of Dr. Halvard Wanger, who organized an extensive scientific assembly to celebrate the Eastern Panhandle Medical Association’s 50th anniversary in 1956.
