WVU to host 2018 Commencement ceremonies May 11-13

WHAT: More than 4,450 West Virginia University students are expected to graduate during Commencement ceremonies at three venues across the Morgantown Campus.

WVU President Gordon Gee will confer degrees at the College of LawCollege of Creative Arts and Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design (May 11), the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources and the College of Business and Economics (May 12), and the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences (May 13, 4 p.m.) ceremonies.

ADDITIONAL EVENTS:
An Army ROTC Commissioning Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10 in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

An International Reception is planned at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10 at the Morgantown Marriott.

The Honors College Medallion Ceremony (invitation only) will also be held at 7 p.m. at the Morgantown Event Center.

The Air Force ROTC Commissioning Ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 11 in the Mountainlair Ballrooms.

PARKING: Free parking is available at the WVU Coliseum and at additional parking lots on the Evansdale Campus for ceremonies at the Coliseum and Creative Arts Center. Parking is limited but overflow lots are available beyond the Creative Arts Center.  Handicap accessible parking is available but limited at each venue. A valid ADA placard must be displayed.

WVU’s PRT system will not be in operation during commencement weekend.

MEDIA: Media coverage is encouraged throughout Commencement Weekend. Videographers and photographers should identify themselves and show the proper media credentials when they arrive at each venue. A section of media seating will be available at the Coliseum near the Blue Gate.
