WHAT: “Path to the Pulitzer: Journalism and the Informed Citizen” will feature two award-winning journalists: 2017 Pulitzer winner Eric Eyre of the Charleston Gazette-Mail and Eric Newhouse of Charleston who received a 2000 Pulitzer while with the Great Falls (Montana) Tribune. Eyre and Newhouse will discuss the importance of pursuing complex stories and the role journalism plays in fostering an informed citizenry. The event is presented by the West Virginia Humanities Council and the West Virginia University Reed College of Media.
WHEN: 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2018
WHERE: West Virginia University Ming Hsieh Hall room G20. The event is free and open to the public.
Eric Eyre and Eric Newhouse will be available for comment during a reception immediately following the event in the Ming Hsieh Hall lobby.
Free parking is available in the WVU Mountainlair Parking Garage.
