FallFest has been welcoming students to West Virginia University for 28 years, a Welcome Week tradition that will continue during this year’s concert Tuesday (Aug. 20) at the Evansdale Fields with performances by Yung Gravy, Shaboozey and COIN. The free show is open to WVU students with valid student IDs.
Offering a mix of activities for all West Virginia University students — new and returning — Welcome Week will run from Aug. 15-23, providing ways for students to have fun, explore their strengths, connect with others and give back to the community ahead of the start of the fall semester.

Anticipated inclement weather forced the rescheduling of the event which was originally set for tonight (Aug. 14) at Milan Puskar Stadium.
FallFest, held in conjunction with FoodFest as part of Welcome Week, is a free concert open to West Virginia University students with valid WVU student IDs. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 15) and the shows start at 6 p.m. on the Evansdale Fields. Coi Leray, a previously announced FallFest performer, canceled due to an injury.
An event-packed Welcome Week at West Virginia University begins Thursday, Aug. 10, and continues into the start of the fall semester, Wednesday, Aug. 16, highlighting the many ways new and returning students can tap into their strengths, find their purpose and make a home on campus.
For the first time since 2019, West Virginia University’s free welcome-back-to-campus concert for students returns Tuesday, Aug. 16. The concert starts at 5:45 p.m. on the Evansdale Rec Fields adjacent to the Student Rec Center. Gates open at 5 p.m.

Monday Night Lights for freshmen and first-year students at West Virginia University will now take place on Sunday (Aug. 22) at Mountaineer Field in Milan Puskar Stadium. Inclement weather on Monday forced the rescheduling.
