Monday Night Lights, a West Virginia University Welcome Week event for first-year students, will now take place on Monday, Aug. 21, at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Anticipated inclement weather forced the rescheduling of the event which was originally set for tonight (Aug. 14).

On Aug. 21, gates will open to students at 7 p.m. Students will enter through the southwest tunnel and participate in activities on Mountaineer Field until the main program begins at 8:30 p.m.

Students living on the Evansdale Campus are asked to walk to the stadium. Students on the Downtown Campus will travel to and from the stadium via buses. Buses will begin leaving lot ST-10, near the Life Sciences Building on University Avenue, at 6:45 p.m. After the event, students will board buses outside the stadium for the return trip to ST-10.

The clear bag policy applies to this event.

For students who struggle with large group situations, the University is providing an opportunity for students to participate in the Class of 2027 photo without having to be a crowded space. Find additional information on this opportunity.

Watch the 8 p.m. pre-show and 8:30 p.m. main event via livestream.
