WVU graduate wins prestigious Pickering Fellowship

Jerrica “Ashley” Fox has been awarded a 2019 Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Fellowship to prepare for a career in the U.S. Foreign Service. Fox is the first West Virginia University alumna to win a Pickering Fellowship in at least a decade.

WVU graduate is finalist for two prestigious Awards

For Morgan King, the first weekend in November this year will be one to remember. She will fly back to the United States from Spain where she is on a Fulbright Scholarship to interview with the British Marshall scholarship committee in Washington, D.C., and then travel to New York to interview with the Schwarzman Scholarship committee.

Three WVU students named Rhodes finalists

Three outstanding young women at West Virginia University have been named finalists for the Rhodes Scholarship, one of the oldest and most celebrated international awards in the world. This may be the first time that WVU has advanced this many finalists for this award.

Scott, Antinone, named 2018 WVU Mr. and Ms. Mountaineer

The University has named Stephen Scott and Mia Antinone the 2018 Mr. and Ms. Mountaineer. A long-time Mountaineer Week tradition, the prestigious award recognizes exemplary academic achievement and extracurricular involvement. In addition to the Mr. and Ms. Mountaineer presentation, WVU’s Most Loyals were honored during halftime ceremonies of the Thursday (Oct. 25) football game.

WVU endorses five for nation’s top scholarships

Five accomplished young women from the Honors College have been endorsed by West Virginia University to compete for three prestigious awards: the Rhodes, Marshall and Mitchell scholarships.
