Kreider appointed WVU Potomac State College interim campus president

West Virginia University Vice Provost Paul Kreider, a seasoned administrator and innovative academic leader, has been named interim campus president of WVU Potomac State College, effective March 16. The appointment follows Keyser Campus President Chris Gilmer’s resignation. Gilmer will serve as campus president through March 15.

WVU to launch robotics engineering major

Students interested in the rapidly evolving world of robotics will now be able to enroll in a new robotics engineering major at West Virginia University following approval by the Board of Governors during a meeting Friday (Dec. 15).

With investments in student success, WVU retention, graduation rates climb

A dual focus on purpose and student success programming is helping fuel improved retention and graduation rates at West Virginia University. This year, the University is seeing its second highest freshman retention in history — 81.4% — along with its highest four-year graduation rate on record, reflecting a jump of 14% during the past eight years.
