WVU graduates encouraged to celebrate resilience, game-changing milestones

Not only do West Virginia University’s newest graduates have much to celebrate in a year that defied traditions and norms, as they enter the next phase of their lives, they are drawing strength from being tested and are instilled with the most critical skills for succeeding in the 21st century: adaptability, resilience and purpose.

WVU to hold online commencement ceremonies Dec. 19

Bringing together families, friends and fellow classmates from across the country and around the world to celebrate the August and December Classes of 2020, West Virginia University will host 14 online commencement ceremonies for the 2,680 graduates on Saturday, Dec.19.

Gee announces phased return to Morgantown campus in letter to WVU community

West Virginia University students will have a phased return to the Morgantown campus that includes a later class start date (Aug. 26) and hybrid or online delivery for upper division undergraduate courses, President Gordon Gee announced in a letter to the WVU community today (July 27).

WVU to hold online commencement ceremonies Saturday

While West Virginia University’s 4,500-member Class of 2020 will graduate in various states and countries instead of Morgantown and in one ceremony instead of more than a dozen, graduates will be connected to each other and to Mountaineers around the world in WVU’s first virtual commencement ceremony.
