WVU receives $1 million award to better prepare West Virginia's rural, first generation students for careers of the future

While many students enter college without the necessary skills to study and learn effectively, they can cultivate positive study habits after they arrive. A new cross-unit collaboration will help move WV Forward by preparing rural, underrepresented Appalachian West Virginia University students for long-term computational careers in West Virginia’s evolving workforce environment.

WVU chemist studying fuel efficiency and pollutant formation

A West Virginia University chemist is working to improve fuel efficiencies in transportation and power generation. Fabien Goulay, an associate professor in the C. Eugene Bennett Department of Chemistry, is investigating combustion reaction mechanisms, which take place in power generators like engines and turbines.

WVU's Eberly College to celebrate 25th anniversary

On August 21, 2018, the Eberly College will kick off a year-long celebration of the 25th anniversary of its naming. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends are invited to attend the celebration at 2 p.m. in Woodburn Circle. In case of inclement weather, the even will be moved to the Mountainlair ballrooms.
