Two West Virginia University alumni with successful careers in business and law have been elected to the WVU Foundation Board of Directors.

Blenko Glass, a glassware manufacturer located in Milton, is continuing its tradition of providing West Virginia University with the latest piece from its West Virginia Birthday Blenko Glass Collection.

Sundus Lateef, a second year medical student in the WVU School of Medicine and Bridgeport native, was one of only 50 students selected from across the nation to participate in the NIH Medical Research Scholars Program.

The West Virginia University Foundation is recognizing the alumni and friends of WVU who have created endowed scholarships, fellowships and student awards in calendar year 2018.

Betty Barrett, a longtime supporter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association, is the newest member of the WVU Alumni Tower Society with her $50,000 contribution in memory of Steve Douglas, the former WVU Alumni Association president and CEO who served in that role for 27 years.

West Virginia University will induct three new members into the Order of Vandalia, the University’s highest honor for outstanding service and loyalty, Friday (June 7) at the Erickson Alumni Center.

LMKR, an international petroleum technology company, has partnered with West Virginia University to expand student and faculty access to industry-leading software. Beginning fall 2019, the Department of Geology and Geography will implement LMKR’s suite of GeoGraphix® and GVERSE, a gift valued at $8.2 million.
