WVU to host women’s leadership panel as part of Distinguished Speaker Series

A panel of women who have demonstrated their abilities to lead and thrive in their respective areas of the business world will be the focus of the Distinguished Speaker Series at the West Virginia University John Chambers College of Business and Economics. The event, also sponsored by the WVU Women’s Business Center, is at Ming Hsieh Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 2.

Eads named WVU’s 66th Mountaineer Mascot

West Virginia University sophomore Timothy Eads can cross off one item from the bucket list he created his freshman year of high school—to serve as the Mountaineer Mascot. Eads heard his name announced as the next Mountaineer tonight (Feb. 25) at the men’s basketball game vs. Texas Christian University.

West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals to hear arguments at WVU College of Law

The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals will convene at the West Virginia University College of Law March 5 to hear arguments in three cases. The court convenes at 10 a.m. in the Marlyn E. Lugar Courtroom. Admission is free and the court’s session is open to the public. Seating begins at 9 a.m.

Jordon Masters, founder of Micro Genesis, has spent the last two-and-a-half years prototyping equipment, developing a custom network of sensor technology and building his own software tools, all to help him – and eventually other small producers – quickly and consistently grow a variety of unique, petite leafy crops year-round, including microgreens, baby greens, herbs and newly added, romaine lettuce.
