WVU Day at the Legislature focuses on opportunity in Mountain State

West Virginia University and WVU Extension will host WVU Day at the Legislature from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the West Virginia Capitol Building in Charleston. Visitors of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend this free event which will feature information and activities from organizations across the University.

More than $1M gift from WVU Eberly College professor establishes community lectureship

A beloved West Virginia University professor is expanding educational opportunities for students, faculty, staff and the greater Morgantown community via a planned gift of over $1 million to support a lecture focused on political leadership and democratic institutions. Professor Emeritus Robert E. DiClerico retired from the Department of Political Science in 2017.

Baker names Jen Greeny to lead WVU Volleyball

West Virginia University Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker has named Jen Greeny as the fifth volleyball head coach in the program's history. Greeny arrives to Morgantown from Washington State, where she spent 13 seasons at the helm of the Cougar volleyball program and led WSU to three consecutive seasons with 20 wins or more.

WVU to launch robotics engineering major

Students interested in the rapidly evolving world of robotics will now be able to enroll in a new robotics engineering major at West Virginia University following approval by the Board of Governors during a meeting Friday (Dec. 15).
