Supporters of West Virginia University donated a record $30.4 million Wednesday (March 20) during the University’s seventh Day of Giving. More than 8,500 gifts were made during the 24-hour online fundraising event held across the University system, also a new record. The $30.4 million figure tops 2023’s WVU Day of Giving record of $18.1 million raised from more than 8,200 gifts.
West Virginia University alumni and friends taking part in Day of Giving Wednesday (March 20) will have many opportunities to boost the overall impact of their gifts through a variety of challenges.
West Virginia University alumni and friends are invited to come together on March 20 in support of the seventh WVU Day of Giving, an annual fundraising effort organized by the WVU Foundation.
The West Virginia University Morgantown Campus will close Friday (Jan. 19) and all in-person classes are canceled due to inclement weather. Online classes are not affected and will continue. Employees who work remotely or on a hybrid schedule are not affected and should continue their normal schedule. On-site employees should communicate with their supervisors to determine if they are required to work on site during the closure.
In-person classes with a start time prior to 11 a.m. will be canceled on the West Virginia University Morgantown Campus Friday (Jan. 19) due to anticipated inclement weather and worsening road conditions. Online classes will not be affected. Students should report to classes with a start time of 11 a.m. or later.
