WVU to celebrate 10th anniversary of Remake Learning Days with expanded effort

West Virginia University and the West Virginia Public Education Collaborative, now in partnership with WVU Extension, are working to broaden the reach of Remake Learning Days, the state’s premier hands-on learning festival which is scheduled for May 17-25. Submissions are being accepted for festival event ideas that will spark curiosity and engage learners.

Giving back: WVU students volunteer with help from private scholarship support

A West Virginia University student is continuing on the path of service he started while in high school — as a volunteer for community canned food drives, trail maintenance and garbage cleanup projects — thanks to private scholarship support. Izaak Whetsell, an Elkins native, is among 24 students to benefit from a recent $100,000 gift made by WVU alumnus Andrew S. Good.

WVU recognizes ‘Most Loyal’ honorees during Mountaineer Week

Each year, West Virginia University honors dedicated Mountaineers who go above and beyond to positively impact the lives of others and make the University a special place as part of Mountaineer Week. The 2024 recipients are Steve Conrad, Most Loyal West Virginian; Scott Branham, Most Loyal Alumni Mountaineer; Rebecca Fint-Clark, Most Loyal Faculty/Professional Staff; and Donna Staggs, Most Loyal Staff Mountaineer.

Gee reflects, looks to the future in final WVU State of the University address
