WVU takes steps to address dining concerns, modernize venues

Representatives from Sodexo joined West Virginia University Dining Services during Friday’s (Feb. 18) Board of Governors meeting to acknowledge recent concerns about food quality and to outline the steps being taken to address them.

WVU plans Friday bell-ringing ceremony

West Virginia University will hold a bell-ringing ceremony, coordinated by the Office of Campus and Community Life and Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity, Friday (Feb. 18) in remembrance of students Sabrina Smith and Shawn Clothier.

WVU to hold fifth Day of Giving March 9

West Virginia University alumni, friends and students are invited to come together March 9 in support of the University’s fifth Day of Giving.

Community Notice: WVU to adjust in-person class schedule, operations Friday, Feb. 4

In-person classes with a start time prior to 10 a.m. are canceled on West Virginia University’s Morgantown campus Friday, Feb. 4, due to anticipated inclement weather and worsening road conditions. Online classes are not affected. The remainder of the University began normal operations at 9 a.m.; however, WVU students and employees should call ahead before venturing out to ensure locations and services are open as conditions may change or services may be limited.

Country roads bring WVU, 4-H’ers to the Capitol for legislative day

To celebrate the reach of WVU’s academic programs, research and outreach efforts, WVU and WVU Extension will host WVU Day at the Legislature Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Capitol rotunda. The event also will feature a special drone demonstration presented by teens participating in the 4-H Tech Changemakers program from noon to 1 p.m.
