The West Virginia University IDEA Hub has received national recognition for its comprehensive, University-wide efforts in entrepreneurship and innovation, an award for which it had been named a finalist in previous years.

After more than 40 years at West Virginia University, Associate Provost for Academic Personnel C.B. Wilson plans to retire effective Sept. 1. Wilson began his tenure at WVU as chair and professor of Music in 1977 and took on progressive leadership roles in the College of Creative Arts, first as associate dean and later as interim dean of the College.

Established in 1985 by the WVU Foundation, the Outstanding Teaching Award honors faculty who are particularly effective and inspiring teachers, as well as faculty who have established patterns of exceptional innovation in their teaching methods, course and curriculum design and instructional tools.
