WVU professor earns NEH fellowship to create the first historical record of 'Nashville Sound'

Travis Stimeling, an assistant professor of music history in the School of Music in the College of Creative Arts at West Virginia University has received a $50,400 fellowship from the National Endowment of the Humanities to chronicle the history of musicians and record production in Nashville between 1955 and 1973, known as country music's "Nashville Sound" era.

WVU professor emeritus, loyal supporter passes away

A West Virginia University professor emeritus who tirelessly supported the University, its programs and students has passed away at the age of 84. Dr. Joginder Nath, professor emeritus and longtime chair of the genetics and developmental biology program in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, died Sunday (Dec. 11) night after a long illness.

Schultz Planned Gift supports educational programs at Art Museum of WVU

Art historians Bernie and Cookie Schultz of Morgantown, who are long-time members of the West Virginia University community with close ties to the College of Creative Arts and the Honors College, have established a $25,000 Planned Gift through the WVU Foundation to support the Art Museum of WVU.
