The West Virginia University School of Dentistry is now one of 18 education and health institutions to receive accreditation to implement a certified, multi-faceted program to stop tobacco use and reduce instances of oral cancer.
Recognizing the importance of overall health and wellness to academic, professional and personal success, West Virginia University is creating a system-wide initiative to coordinate and improve efforts in those areas. Supported by a substantial gift from Natalie and Wes Bush, the Bush Fund for Health Promotion and Wellness will be directed by Dean of Nursing Tara Hulsey, who will also continue in her current role while adding responsibilities as vice president of health sciences for health promotion and wellness.

West Virginia University’s Potomac State College announced the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the WVU School of Nursing and PSC to offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program on the Keyser campus. The School plans to begin offering the four-year academic program beginning in fall 2018, upon approval from the West Virginia Board of Nursing.
