WVU researcher finds sexism ‘pervasive in agriculture faculty’

A West Virginia University researcher has found that sexism is still pervasive among agriculture faculty in spite of gains made in the last 15 years. Haley Rosson, assistant professor of agriculture in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design and Extension education, said behaviors include toxic work environments, unhealthy competition, inappropriate interactions and policy violations.

New program established to enhance leadership skills in WVU Davis College students

This spring, high-achieving freshmen in the West Virginia University Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design will be offered a chance to become part of new program designed to enhance their leadership skills and career preparedness.The Davis- Michael Sustainability Fellows Program will offer transformational learning opportunities to exceptional students across all disciplines in the college.
