Five students named WVU Mountaineers of Distinction

Recognized for their exemplary academic achievement and extracurricular involvement, Matthew Hudson, Giana Loretta, Sonia-Frida Ndifon, Trevor Swiger and Callyn Zeigler have been named the West Virginia University 2022 Mountaineers of Distinction, a Mountaineer Week tradition.

WVU Board of Governors tackles student success, budget adjustments

The University is also designing a new budget model which will focus on revenue generating units that allocates revenue and expenses more clearly and is aligned with WVU’s strategic objectives. The FY24 budget will be based on the new model and factor in the state’s new higher education funding formula.

Gee offers welcome for start of inaugural WVU Week of Purpose

WVU Foundation records second-best year with more than $213 million in contributions

For the fiscal year from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022, WVU Foundation data shows 20,206 donors – including 9,360 alumni – made 39,347 gifts totaling $213.8 million. This total is second only to $270.1 million donated in fiscal year 2021. The gifts will benefit education, health care and prosperity to make a positive impact across the Mountain State and beyond for years to come.
