The West Virginia University Police and Office of Emergency Management responded to a shots fired incident shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 7).
The annual Clery Report for West Virginia University, reviewing crime on the Morgantown campus, is now available from the Police and Office of Emergency Management.
A West Virginia University employee discovered a body at approximately 6:30 this morning (Aug. 20) on a small section of University property near the intersection of Beechurst Ave. and University Ave. He has been identified as 59-year-old Larry Allen Keller of Morgantown. He was not affiliated with the University in any way.

Roberts “is a proven leader with the ability to use logic and reason to solve today’s problems facing police in higher educational settings,” the association said in announcing the award in the “sworn officer” category.
In the wake of two more pedestrians being struck by automobiles on or near the West Virginia University campus, University Police today (March 29) added portable signs at intersections where the incidents have occurred.
In light of two pedestrian accidents around crosswalks in recent weeks, West Virginia University officials will undertake a comprehensive analysis relating to crosswalks on and around our campus.
West Virginia University Department of Police and Emergency Management is ranked ninth in the nation among 4,706 colleges and universities for its campus safety initiatives.
