West Virginia University’s Physical Education Teacher Education program has gained national recognition for preparing its students to be effective educators.

Eleven West Virginia University faculty members have been awarded research grants from the Office of the Provost as part of the 2017-2018 Big 12 Faculty Fellowship Program.

A West Virginia University graduate who earned a physical education teacher education degree has established a new gift for the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and the Mountaineer Athletic Club. Sandra and John Marshall have established the planned gift to provide support for students in CPASS, student-athlete scholarships and athletic capital project improvements.

West Virginia University will send more than 4,500 graduates into the world this weekend as commencement ceremonies take place in three venues for all 17 colleges and schools.

WVU will hold commencement exercises at all 15 colleges and schools over a three-day period May 12-14.
