As the area continues to deal with the effects of winter weather, West Virginia University leaders are directing instructors and supervisors to provide flexibility to students and employees on the Morgantown Campus.
Final exams will start as scheduled at 8 a.m. Monday (Dec. 15).
Students who are not able to safely make it to campus for in-person final exams are asked to reach out to their instructors to make alternate arrangements.
Finals week runs through Friday (Dec. 19).
The University will continue regular scheduled campus operations Monday (Dec. 15), though some campus services may be limited due to winter weather.
Talent and Culture is encouraging supervisors to provide flexibility and allow hybrid employees to work remotely if there are travel safety concerns or other weather-related issues. Employees should coordinate details about worksites directly with their supervisors.
WVU Health Sciences faculty, staff and students who work in patient care areas or in clinical rotations are reminded to check with their dean, program director or clinic manager about in-person work or testing requirements.
Any additional University-wise scheduling or weather updates will be provided through a variety of outlets, including the WVU Safety Notification System, MIX email and students.wvu.edu, faculty and staff email and enews.wvu.edu, and digital signage.
Social media accounts, such as @WVUsafety on X, @wvusafetyofficial on Instagram and WVU Safety and Wellness on Facebook, will also share updates.
Decisions regarding WVU Institute of Technology and WVU Potomac State College are made separately based on local conditions. WVU Extension will follow its internal inclement weather policy, which can be found here.
A WVU Alert is part of the three-tiered WVU Safety Notification System.
