West Virginia University is extending multiple key deadlines for current and incoming students following delays at the federal level for the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA.

The new deadline for the financial aid FAFSA priority consideration is now April 1. The deadline to receive an academic deposit refund or a partial housing deposit refund is June 1.

First-year students must be admitted by June 1 to be considered for scholarships.

Incoming students are encouraged to take part in The Great Day on Thursday, Feb. 29, for a chance to win scholarships and other prizes.

A number of scholarship opportunities are available at WVU. External and private scholarships also provide financial aid options for students.
