West Virginia University has canceled two Hardesty Festival of Ideas events to help reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus or COVID-19.

W. Kamau Bell and Piper Kerman were scheduled to be part of the 2019-20 FOI Series.

Festival of Ideas was created in 1995 by President Emeritus David C. Hardesty Jr. It was inspired by events he organized as WVU’s student body president in the 1960s.
