With a fresh semester officially here, West Virginia University has welcomed more than 5,000 new students into its family.
That also means a lot of parents who, perhaps, are confronted with a transition themselves.
“With the excitement that accompanies a new fall semester, we all can learn a thing or two from our new students and their parents,” Gee said. “Transition can be a challenging part of life. But with the right mindset and support, we will embark on this new journey with a confidence and comfort that leads us to bigger and better things.”

Leave it to WVU President Gordon Gee to help ease any parental concerns. He dropped by the “I Survived Move-In” reception Saturday (Aug. 17) to lend a shoulder and ear to moms and dads who nudged their children off into adulthood.
