Statewide partnership celebrates health outcomes

A unique West Virginia-based healthcare partnership is ending, following a 10-year collaboration. The Weight Management Program, a community-based diet and exercise program, reached 33 counties through approximately 100 fitness centers around the Mountain state.

Team from South Middle School wins 31st annual WVU Pumpkin Drop

On a day that saw 355 pumpkins survive the 11-story drop from atop West Virginia University’s Engineering Sciences Building, it was team 314 from South Middle School in Morgantown that took top honors in the 31st Annual Pumpkin Drop. Their pumpkin landed just one-foot from the target, earning them the $100 first prize.

2019 football schedule released

Six home dates, two Power 5 nonconference games and five Big 12 Conference road dates comprise the upcoming schedule. The season is spread over 15 weeks with open dates on Sept. 28 and Oct. 26. It is the first schedule with two open weeks since 2016.

‘Most Loyals’ chosen for Mountaineer Week at WVU

A Morgantown couple who has given back to the University, a successful alumnus engineer, an internationally-known professor, a dedicated residence life employee, and a late director of the Mountainlair are being honored as “Most Loyals” during the 71st Mountaineer Week, a celebration of Appalachian Heritage, Oct. 19-28, on West Virginia University’s campus.
