A suspect in a shots fired incident at the top of North High Street in Morgantown Oct. 7 has been arrested according to West Virginia University Police and Office of Emergency Management

Shaiheed Moore, 21, of Charleston, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals’ Mountain State Fugitive Task Force in Charleston Thursday (Oct. 18). Moore was arrested on a University Police Department warrant for felony wanton endangerment. He is currently being held in the South Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

Moore, who is not a West Virginia University student, was arrested without incident.

“This arrest demonstrates why our partnerships with other agencies such as the U.S. Marshals Service are so important,” UPD Chief W.P. Chedester said. “We are thankful to the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force for their assistance in our investigation, and that they were able to use the resources of the federal government to track down this suspect.”
