1988 football team to be honored at home opener

The West Virginia University Varsity Club has announced that the 1988 Mountaineer Football team, one of only two teams to go 11-0 in school history, will be recognized for its 30-year anniversary the weekend of Sept. 7-8, with activities surrounding the home-opening football game vs. Youngstown State.

A West Virginia University employee discovered a body at approximately 6:30 this morning (Aug. 20) on a small section of University property near the intersection of Beechurst Ave. and University Ave. He has been identified as 59-year-old Larry Allen Keller of Morgantown. He was not affiliated with the University in any way.

WVU warns parents about dissident fraternities

Concerned about an unfolding effort on the part of several fraternities to withdraw from West Virginia University governance, President Gordon Gee sent a letter Sunday to all students’ parents decrying the actions and warning that joining these organizations should not be an option for their students.

WVU's Eberly College to celebrate 25th anniversary

On August 21, 2018, the Eberly College will kick off a year-long celebration of the 25th anniversary of its naming. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends are invited to attend the celebration at 2 p.m. in Woodburn Circle. In case of inclement weather, the even will be moved to the Mountainlair ballrooms.
