UPDATE as of 8/23/18
The University Police Department said the West Virginia State Medical Examiner has identified the man as 59-year-old Larry Allen Keller of Morgantown. He was not affiliated with the University in any way. At this time, the death is believed to be of natural causes. Police have located and notified Keller's family.

A West Virginia University employee discovered a body at approximately 6:30 this morning (Aug. 20) on a small section of University property near the intersection of Beechurst Ave. and University Ave.
The employee contacted University Police who determined the body was a male believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s.
University Police Chief W. P. Chedester said there were no signs of trauma or foul play. The coroner’s office is in the process of determining a cause of death. Authorities are working to notify the man’s next of kin.
