The West Virginia University College of Business and Economics will accept nominations for the 2017 Class of its Roll of Distinguished Alumni through June 30.

This year’s inductees will be honored on October 13 at a luncheon at WVU’s Erickson Alumni Center on the Evansdale Campus. The Roll of Distinguished Alumni was founded during the business school’s 60th anniversary year in 2011, and adds inductees each year to recognize the tremendous success of its graduates.

“We have so many outstanding graduates of the College of Business and Economics who are working around the world in countless capacities as business leaders,” said Javier Reyes, Milan Puskar Dean. “These individuals serve as exceptional examples for our students and all of us. We work very hard in a number of ways to recognize and celebrate the successes of our alumni, and induction into the Roll of Distinguished Alumni is one of them.”

A total of 30 individuals have been inducted since the inception of the event. Last year’s inductees included Russell Bunio, former vice president and general manager of supply chain management and procurement at Boeing; J. Thomas Jones, former president and CEO of the West Virginia United Health System; Don Parkinson, a former executive with Kentucky Fried Chicken, General Motors and Proctor & Gamble; and Bob Reynolds, president and CEO of Putnam Investments, Great-West Financial and Great-West Lifeco U.S., Inc.

Nominees must have graduated from the College of Business and Economics, must be at least 10 years post-degree and must have distinguished themselves by success in business or life at the regional, national or international level.
