Maryanne Reed, dean of the Reed College of Media, will chair the screening committee for the new chief information officer for West Virginia University. This position will report directly to Vice Provost John Campbell.

Melissa Sotelo, interim manager, Human Resources
The new CIO will step into the role that brought Campbell to WVU in 2013. He was appointed vice provost this month.
“We are looking for someone who is at the forefront of information technology innovation on university campuses,” said Campbell, who is currently serving as interim CIO. “We also want a leader with vision and skill in consensus-building to head up our exceptional ITS team.”
