WHAT: Showing gold and blue hospitality, West Virginia University President Michael T. Benson and members of the University’s Board of Governors will host Gov. Patrick Morrisey and First Lady Denise Morrisey leading up to the 108th “Backyard Brawl.”

Thursday, Sept. 11
• Ceremonial bill signing
Gov. Morrisey, President Benson, Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker, University coaches and student-athletes will attend.

Friday, Sept. 12
• WVU Board of Governors address
Gov. Morrisey will speak about the importance of WVU to West Virginia during the regularly scheduled BOG meeting.

• Morrisey Mountaineer Mile
Gov. Morrisey, President Benson, University leaders, Cade Kincaid, the 71st Mountaineer mascot, and other University supporters will walk a mile around Milan Puskar Stadium as part of the Governor’s statewide initiative to create a healthier West Virginia.

NOTES: Game day parking near the stadium is sold on a season basis and requires a color-coded permit which matches the designated area. Drivers without the proper permits will not be allowed to park in those areas.
Kickoff for WVU vs. the University of Pittsburgh in the sold-out “Backyard Brawl” is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 13).
