WVU changing the game for sports emergency action plans

A national position statement on emergency action plan development and implementation in sports from a West Virginia University athletic training researcher sets in motion new priorities for responding to catastrophic injuries. The recommendations apply to sports through all levels, from youth to high school to collegiate and professional leagues.

WVU to induct six into Order of Vandalia

For their loyalty and service to West Virginia University, six Mountaineers will be inducted into the Order of Vandalia during a Friday (June 7) ceremony. The 2024 inductees are Patricia Bibbee, Sue Day-Perroots, Mike Fulton, Ranjit K. Majumder, Robert Orders and Sophia Peterson.

WVU researchers develop 3D model to better treat neurological disorders

A 3D model developed by West Virginia University neuroscientists shows how implantable stimulators — the same kind used to treat chronic pain — can target neurons that control specific muscles to provide rehabilitation for people with neurological disorders such as stroke and spinal cord injuries.
