Town Hall to focus on heart care and research Thursday, June 15

Two WVU Medicine heart specialists will be the special guests at an open forum for Health Sciences and WVU Medicine faculty, staff, and students at noon on Thursday, June 15, in the Okey Patteson Auditorium in the Health Sciences Center.

Professionals focus on West Virginia health

More than 100 health professionals from across West Virginia gathered today (June 1) in Buckhannon to share information on community approaches to the state’s health issues. The Try This for Health Professionals day was held at West Virginia Wesleyan College, one day ahead of the fourth annual Try This West Virginia conference that will take place Friday and Saturday.

WVU Foundation honors philanthropists

The West Virginia University Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2017 Outstanding Philanthropy awards. This year’s recipients are Verl and Sandra Purdy, Milan Puskar Outstanding Philanthropists; Jack Rossi, Outstanding Volunteer Philanthropist; the Bernard McDonough Foundation, Hazel Ruby McQuain Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation; and Dominion Energy, Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation.
