WVU Baseball facility renamed Kendrick Family Ballpark

The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, in conjunction with the WVU Foundation, has announced a generous gift from Ken Kendrick, Arizona Diamondbacks owner and WVU alumnus, to support the WVU Baseball program. The gift includes the renaming of Monongalia County Ballpark. The facility now will be known as Kendrick Family Ballpark at the Monongalia County Baseball Complex.

Long, Browning elected WVU Student Government Association leaders

Charlie Long, a junior political science and philosophy dual major and member of the Honors College from Charleston, and Abigail Browning, a junior psychology major from Hurricane, will serve as West Virginia University student body president and vice president, respectively, for the 2024-25 academic year.

WVU team wins second consecutive international mine rescue competition

For the second year in a row, the West Virginia University Mine Rescue Team from the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is the champion of the 2024 Intercollegiate Mine Emergency Response Competition. The team competed in the event held Feb. 23-24 in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.

WVU Foundation mourns passing of former president and CEO

As president and CEO of the WVU Foundation, F. Duke Perry used his fundraising skills and experience to achieve new philanthropic milestones in support of West Virginia University. Following his death last week at age 84, he is credited with helping transform WVU into a modern land-grant university.
