2017 football schedule poster released

With the 2017 Mountaineer football season less than two months away, the West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has released its official football schedule poster.

Duo reaches air rifle final

Ginny Thrasher and Milica Babic of the West Virginia University rifle team finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the junior women’s 10m air rifle, today, at the 2017 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship Rifle/Pistol, at the Schießsportzentrum in Suhl, Germany.

Buchanan to attend Honda Cup award ceremony

West Virginia University women’s soccer defender Kadeisha Buchanan will join 11 other finalists vying for the Honda Cup at the 2017 Collegiate Women Sports Awards Show presented by Honda on Monday, June 26, at the USC Galen Center Founders Room in Los Angeles.

Lyons to chair Big 12 Athletic Director’s Council

NCAA grants Grier eligibility for season opener

Grier played in six games and started five for Florida in 2015, before sitting out the rest of the season. He completed 106-of-151 passes for 1,204 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Davis, Cramer selected in MLB Draft

West Virginia University junior left fielder Kyle Davis was drafted by the Houston Astros and senior first baseman Jackson Cramer was drafted by the Washington Nationals on the final day of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft.

Five years of Big 12 football

Overall, after five seasons in the Big 12, West Virginia shows a 22-23 record against the rest of the conference; the Mountaineers are 12-11 at home and 10-12 on the road.

WVU recovery efforts began early, continue after 2016 flood
